Great Miami Reserve boundary south of Scircleville

The south boundary of the Great Miami Reserve crosses CR 1100E about 2.5 miles south of Scircleville. There is a slight bend in the road at the reserve boundary (or very close to it).

Facing east, where the south boundary of the Great Miami Reserve crosses CR 1100E about 2.5 miles south of Scircleville. Satellite views showed a slight trace of the boundary to the west, but I doubt any sign of it could have been seen at ground level in that direction this year, or this time of year, even if I had made a note of it. That direction was all solid corn. The old boundary angles to the northeast, and would have touched the far end of this edge of the corn field, though there is no visible trace of it in this direction, either.

Looking south near where the south boundary of the Great Miami Reserve crosses CR 1100E, about 2.5 miles south of Scircleville. When I took this photo I was wondering about the signicance of the red and white marker fastened to the utility pole in the foreground; however, that is a little too far north for the actual boundary location. A more likely location is where there is an indentation in the edge of the cornfield a hundred yards further on, indicated here by the red arrow.

In the shade on CR 1000E

Looking north on CR 1000E. I had already passed the place where the Great Miami Reserve boundary crossed the road a half mile back, to the south, but here is was shady and there it was in the full sun. And there was no visible trace of the boundary back there, anyway.
