Looking north from the Richland Township Hall
Old firehose reel at the Richland Township Hall
Not a particularly good stopping place, but I had reached the ten mile point.
Cooper Township Hall
There had been recent roadwork near the Cooper Township Hall.
Old School in Cooper Township
The 1910 plat map of Cooper Township shows a school at this location in the SW corner of Section 18 (close to where D Avenue crosses US-131). So this building is probably it.
BP station on D Avenue, near US-131 interchange
This gas station was a nostalgia stop of sorts, commemorating a ride in October 1994 that (finally) got me started on long bicycle rides.
The Alamo intersection
Main intersection in Alamo
Alamo Township Hall
This wasn't my first visit to the Alamo Township Hall, so I stopped only very briefly.
Kal-Haven Trail at Alamo
The Kal-Haven Trail crosses the road just south of the Alamo Township Hall. I got on here and rode to Bloomingdale.
Entering Van Buren County
Entering Pine Grove Township in Van Buren County on the Kal-Haven Trail.
The Kal-Haven Trail crosses the street almost in front of the Bloomingdale Municipal Center, which serves as the Bloomingdale township hall, among other things.
Museum in Bloomingdale
There is a museum in Bloomingdale and a park with places for bicyclers to eat their lunches.

Waverly Township parking lot in Glendale
Waverly Township Hall
It had been a grey day, but the sun started to come out while I was at the Waverly Township Hall.
Cluster of buildings, including the township hall, at Arlington Center
Arlington Center is five miles east of Glendale on M-43, and a half mile south. M-43 wasn't the most pleasant part of the day's ride, due to heavier traffic, but there was a sufficiently wide paved shoulder so it worked OK.
Arlington Center
The 1910 plat book shows a school and town hall located at this intersection, just where the boarded up school building and township hall are located now. The township hall has a new wing that has been added since then, though.
